Will eventually lead to a clutter free house. I generally do this every couple of years but I think that it has been longer this time.......... Essentially I spend fifteen minutes a day decluttering a drawer, cupboard, whatever. I don't pull out any more than I can deal with in a fifteen minute period. I move in a clockwise direction until the room is done. You would be amazed how those fifteen minute blocks add up. It also never ceases to amaze me how much stuff we accumulate and I don't even like shopping! This idea isn't original. I discovered FlyLady a couple of years ago.
This afternoon I did my jewellery drawer. I was never a brooch girl once but I think that might have changed......
Ooh, love the Leo Sayer badges. And what a pretty brooch display, I hopw it's hanging somewhere. I'm scared of FlyLady, though I know I need her- I feel I'll never get on top of stuff. I love your oppy gift, what a haul!

Ha! Snap - I just did a post on brooches. I covet yours! good to see you today and I'd love a coffee. What days are best for you? Next week hubby is home so I'm free-ish to run away without children.

What a great idea. I think I'd better start doing that too.

Even weirder - I have some scrabble tiles and a glue gun sitting out ready to make myself a brooch. It's going to spell HOPE. Quite close to HIP!!!!

Ha! I love the HIP brooch.
I actually cleaned out my jewellery drawer a few weeks ago, so I'll have to copy you and do a brooch post tomorrow.

Sigh, even fifteen minutes seems like an arduous task to me. Mind you there must be something in the air (let's hope it's spring), I went through my wardrobe yesterday, and cleared the floor so I can walk to get into bed without stepping over anything!

awesome, I signed up for Flylady years ago, I still subscribe to the get dressed (including shoes) and make bed each day, even if the rest of the house is a mess. Very helpful for depression! I'm going to try the 15 min clutter tomorrow :)

Your brooch draw looks like a gorgeous piece of eclectic art to hang on the wall.

Well done! Great de-cluttering!!
(Although I have to admit to wanting to say "I'll have those beads and things if you're throwing them out!" they look like you could MAKE something with them!! They look like they could join all the other beads I keep and never use).

great idea. I have been in a de-cluttering frenzy after a long de-cluttering rut. I try to fit it into my daughter's nap time. But 15 minutes a day seems manageable and not overwhelming. I think I will start right now....
